Textiles
Textiles can include a variety of techniques such as illustration and Fine Art. This week I have been working towards creating two A5 textile designs based on a series of still life drawings I have done. I found that looking at the shapes of the objects is more important than the detail but I also found that using the negative shapes in the composition makes an interesting base to work on.

My inspiration came from looking at Claire Coles textile work. I like her combination of patterned materials with very simple continuous line drawing in stitch.
