Textiles
Inspiration from a still life set up.

I did a series of overlapping studies from the dried chilli pepper from the still life because i felt that there  was a good combination of texture and shapes with in the chilli. I used a combination of different drawing techniques such as drawing with my left hand and continuous line drawings. I  used pencil, ink and sticks, pastels and masking tape.
For the starting point of this
pair of still life studies, I took inspiration from negative shapes that were in between the objects or the negative shape of the object. I started to use a a considered colour pallet of neutral green colours and reds and oranges to contrast the neutral colours.

I wanted this combination of drawings to have a more rhythmic pattern or be more linior and simple.
