The block:
I wanted each side of my wooden block to relate to one another. Previously, I had found that the drill created some interesting dents in the metal; not only to look at but also to feel. From that i decided that I could have a series of different types of spotted, dented or drilled pieces on my block. I like the variation of shiny and dull surfaces on the block but I didn't feel that copper would complement my theme so I chose to keep all the metal as tin plated steel.
